4 Tablespoons of Your Choice of Carrier OIl & 20 Drops of Your Choice of Essential Oil

                           Vitamin C Serum Recipes

Vitamin C Serum Recipe 1 - 1 teaspoon L-Ascorbic acid powder grind until very fine,

1 teaspoon of carrier oil (choose from one in the list below)

1 Tablespoon distilled water.  (if you have rose water, use that instead!)

Recipe for Rose Water, Homemade Facial Toners

Mix well and store in the refrigerate to extend shelf life. 

I know the Vit C recipe sounds like a very small batch but vit C loses its potency (makes you wonder about the commercial Vit products!) and it's not something that you'll use in volume. 

Although, you may also want to apply a little to the top of your hands, it's great in keeping the liver spots (age spots) away and having youthful hands!

As we age, we lose collagen, Vitamin C also promotes production of collagen helping the skin to stay youthful.  Also good for acne, scares, sunburns and sun damaged skin. 

Vitamin C Serum Recipe 2 - 1 teaspoon vitamin C Powder, 1 teaspoon distilled water, 1 teaspoon Vitamin E 

Warning:  Vitamin C can cause your skin to be irritated when first applied. Expect a little tingling sensation but if it's a burning sensation, wash it off immediately.  That just means you have sensitive skin and you'll need to add a little more oil or water to dilute it.

                          Evening Primrose Serum

10 drops vitamin E oil - 4 Tablespoons of Evening Primrose Oil

Shake well to mix and wait 24 hours before using. Store in cool dark place or in the refrigerator.  Shelf life is approximately 6 months

To apply your anti aging remedy - A few drops lightly massaged on clean skin where needed, (usually around the eyes and any problem areas) do not rinse off.  Best if used at night.

Milk, what a great and affordable anti aging remedy!!  Milk naturally contains glycolic acid and alpha-hydroxy acid which are recommended ingredients in anti aging skin products.   These acids promote a natural peel and nourishes your skin. 

To apply your anti aging wrinkle treatment, saturate a clean cloth with the milk and place cloth on your clean face, (focus on the crows feet areas) and allow approximately 10-15 minutes before rinsing with cold water.  (cold water tightens your skin - yeah!)  

Consider using this while soaking in a tub.

Egg Whites

Yes, egg whites work great for tightening your skin and couldn't be an easier anti aging treatment or less expensive. 

Separate the egg (keep the yolk for hair conditioner, the yolk has lecithin and protein that strengthens and moisturizes, also the sulfur content helps eliminate dandruff.  Beat yolk and apply to dry hair, allow 20-30 minutes before shampooing) 

O.K., back to the face....apply the egg white to your clean face and allow it to dry, (about 20 minutes) you can feel the skin tightening as it dries.  Rinse with cool water.  

If your skin is dry, a teaspoon of honey added to the egg white will moisturize your skin while it tightens.  

If you're fighting acne, add about 3 drops of tea tree oil.

Liver Spots

Liver Spots aka Age Spots or solar lentigines are usually found on people later in life, especially those who have had a lot of sun exposure. 

If you’re looking for a way to avoid these spots, protect your skin from the sun. 

If you’re looking for anti aging remedies, the following are some easy, affordable remedies.

Essential Oils of Lemon - 2-3 drops of essential oil with equal amount of carrier oil (olive or almond) mix and apply directly on spots daily.

Lemon Yogurt - 2 tsp lemon juice and 1 tbsp plain yogurt mix and apply directly on spots, rinse after 20 mins.  Use 2-3 times weekly.

Horseradish - Grate fresh horseradish and press through cheese cloth to strain and extract the juice. Mix 1 tsp of horseradish juice, 1/2 tsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar and 3 drops of rosemary essential oil Apply to spots and leave for 30 mins before rinsing off.  Do this twice daily.

Pineapple Juice - Apply fresh pineapple juice directly on the spots and allow 20 mins before rinsing.  Use daily.

Buyer Beware - You can buy machines to do micro-dermabrasion at home as there becomes more technology and interest. (even "permanent" hair removal gadgets)   Just be careful and check these machines out well before purchasing and using them.   In some cases with a little online research you'll find some bad and damaging results by some.
