Why Liquid Castle Soap? Originating from Castile, Spain this soap has been used since 1616. It's made from vegetable oils as opposed to tallow/animal fats (found in most soap). Often Olive, Jojoba or Palm oil is used or a combination. It does not contain any synthetic ingredients such as fragrances or detergents. Completely non-toxic to humans, animals and the environment. The Potassium hydroxide converts the oils into soap and glycerin.
Why Coconut Oil? Actually you can use other oils in place of Coconut if you'd like. Ex. Sweet Almond , Jojoba, Avocado, etc. Back to Coconut Oil....Capric /Caprylic/Lauric acid-These three fatty acids offer antimicrobial properties as well as being a strong disinfectant. The rich oil also offers many proteins which keeps your skin healthy, soft and rejuvenated as it contributes to tissue and cellular health. What's better than smooth skin and anti-aging properties?
Why Honey? Honey helps retain moisture, its composition is described as humectant, which is a substance that attracts moisture and keeps in locked inside. It also has antimicrobial properties. The chemical makeup also has high osmolality which is basically the reaction between the sugars and water that prevents microorganisms from developing and very healing for skin issues.
Why Vitamin E Oil? Moisturizing, healing, soothing to stressed skin due to sun or winter months. Boosting collagen production, helps keep the skin elastic. Vitamin E oil also treats wrinkles by supporting new skin cell growth and speeding up cell regeneration. This ingredient is an antioxidant and can help elongate the shelf life of homemade personal care products.
