Organic baby lotion recipes that the whole family can enjoy, pure and simple!!

Lotion recipes are so easy and best of all, free of needless chemicals.  The soothing milk and honey lotion is great for babies but actually you'll enjoy it to!

Also, don't miss the baby oil recipe below, it's great for massaging your baby!  Just like the lotion, you'll probably be dipping into it yourself!

If you're dealing with a baby skin rash go to  baby acne or diaper rash for more information and recipes.

Honey and essential oils should wait until after 6 months of age in your lotion recipes, (milk & honey lotion) since honey can have bacteria (botulism) that although rare, newborns are susceptible to.

Also, as I’ve mentioned throughout this site, essential oils can be potent and should wait until at least six months of age.

Although, I've been told from birth it's okay to use Chamomile, Lavender, Yarrow and Dill, I'm not advising it because I don't know the quality of oil you may be using.

It's important to use only pure, quality oils, avoiding the synthetic oils completely.

Even using quality oils, you should still avoid Anise, Eucalyptus and Wintergreen on little ones under the age of two.

It’s always best to error on the side of caution when we’re talking about newborns – pure and simple is the safest route.

There are several benefits to making your own organic baby lotion the most important is you know what you're using on your baby, you have the peace of mind knowing it's pure and free of chemicals.

Secondly, you'll save money making your own and can adjust recipes to exactly what you like.

This takes trial and error but that's half the fun and you'll be able to share with others and have something special and unique for gift giving!
