Before you apply your facial mask recipe

1. Tie hair back

2. Wash face

3. To open pores, steam face over hot water or press warm cloth to skin for a few minutes.

4. After preparing, apply the face mask to both your face and neck if desired but be careful to avoid the eye  area.    When finished......

5. Rinse well - aaahhhh (consider doing your home facial mask during your bath time - very relaxing)


Facial Mask Recipes

EGG MASK (starting with the most basic face mask)

Separate the yolk from the white and whip just the white until it’s bubbly.

Apply, let dry for 20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

If you have dry skin, you can add a tsp of almond oil.

Egg mask is not only very easy and inexpensive, people love that it firms the skin, shrinks pores and leaves your face very soft and healthy.

(you can use the yolk on your hair, it's a great conditioner!)


SIMPLE CORNMEAL MASK

1/4 C of cornmeal and 1/4 C of water (or Chamomile tea) mix into a paste.

Apply it in circular motions to the face, let dry for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with cool water.

Exfoliating!!


MOISTURIZING CORNMEAL MASK

1 1/2 Tbs cornmeal, 1/2 Tbs yogurt and 1/2 Tbs honey mix into a paste.

Apply it in circular motions to the face, let dry for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with cool water.

Moisturizes and exfoliates 


BANANA HONEY YOGURT MASK

Mash a banana thoroughly and mix it with 1 tsp honey and 2 tsp plain yogurt.

Apply, let dry 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with cool water.

Yogurts probiotics properties helps with acne and eczema while moisturizing and conditioning the skin and banana is helpful to sun damage skin, of course honey has many benefits....probably more than any other ingredient.


AVOCADO MASK

Simply mash ½ avocado and apply.

Leave until it dries approx 15-20 minutes, rinse.

Known to help decrease the aging of skin and soothes sun damage.


COFFEE MASK (can use coca powder instead)

If you drink coffee take 3 Tbs from your morning coffee and add 1 Tbs honey and mix well.

Apply and allow to dry for 15 mins. Rinse.

Improves circulation and promotes healthy new skin.


OATMEAL MASK

Add one egg, 1/2 C of cooked oatmeal and 1 tsp olive oil and make a mixture.

Apply, let it dry approx 15-20 minutes, rinse.

Egg tightens skin and oatmeal moisturizes and calms irritated or sunburned skin.


PEACH, HONEY & EGG YOLK MASK

1 ripe peach, 1 tsp honey, 1 egg yolk, peel peach and mash well with fork, add honey and beaten egg yolk.

After mixing well, apply and leave for 30 minutes, rinse and apply moisturizer.

Hydrates while tightens the skin and balances the oils.


PEACH AND LEMON JUICE MASK

1 peach, 1/2 lemon, a little oat flakes - Peel peach and mash well with fork, add lemon juice and oat flakes mixing well and allowing oat flakes time to absorb juices.

Apply mask, leave for 30 minutes, rinse.

Peaches contain alpha-hydroxy acids, lemon juice is great for scars, age spots and acne, oatmeal


FOR DRY SKIN MASK

1 egg yolk, 1 tsp honey, 1 tsp olive oil and 1 tsp vitamin E oil -Mix well.  

Apply on the face and let dry approx 15-20 minutes, rinse.


FOR OILY SKIN MASK

1 ripe peach, 1 Tbs sour cream - Peel peach and mash well with fork. Add sour cream and mix until mixture becomes smooth.

Apply mask, leave for 30 minutes. Rinse.

Peaches contain alpha-hydroxy acids (helps eliminate wrinkles, sun damage skin) and sour cream contains lactic acid which boost production of collagen plus more!


FOR SENSITIVE SKIN MASK

Peach and Honey - Blend ½ peach and one tsp honey.

Apply, let dry approx 15-20 minutes, Rinse.
